Mass Punishment is a 4 piece Apocalypse Metal band based out of New Jersey in the United States. Their music designed to inform as well as hit as hard as the facts and events the songs are written about. Current events on a social, political, environmental, economic scale. Of government corruption and depopulation with a population facing death by design and dark hidden agendas.

The Story:
Mass Punishment was established after Chris “Axe” Milos returned to the United States from serving in the Army and fighting on the front lines in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Axe, having played guitar since childhood, had started writing the riffs and lyrics that would soon become the foundation of songs for Mass Punishment to build upon.
Erick “Maverick” Laurino, of New Jersey, had linked up with Chris having musically acquaintance of each other sharing the same goals in mind of creating a metal band that no one had ever heard or seen before. Erick’s strength and integrity is pounded out fierce and clear commanding the attention of the listening audience without compromise. Chris and Erick then sought the talent of a bassist.
Ed “Arc” Angel from Missouri, joined the camp as the ranking bass virtuoso. This is an honor for both Ed and the band as a perfect combination of power and precision. Erick & Chris fused with Ed’s ability to perform bass harmonies and lead bass compositions blaze through sonically in the earth shaking sound of Mass Punishment.
The Inspiration:
Axe credits James Hetfield of Metallica and Dave Mustaine of Megadeth for the desire to learn to play guitar from childhood. He enjoys listening to Extermination Dismemberment, Behemoth, Thy Art Is Murder, Megadeth and Slayer to name a few. Maverick’s inspiration to be a vocalist came from Phil Anselmo of Pantera and Burton C Bell of Fear Factory. Some of his current favorites are Machine Head, Beneath The Massacre and Meshuggah. Arc embraces Geezer Butler, D.D. Verni & Pat Bruder as his 3 favorite bass players.
Some current favorites include Hemorrhage, Upon A Burning Body & There Is No Us. He also is influenced by Legends such as Slayer, Megadeth & Fear Factory. We grew up on the best metal bands of our time. The metal bands that had gone against the grain and fought the norm of society. Those who’ve paved the way and put metal on the map that wouldn’t allow heavy metal to be swept under the carpet. Our music has influence from many bands such as but not limited to Pantera, Slayer, Fear Factory, Megadeth, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Korn, Emmure, Slipknot, and Soulfly.

Mass Punishment has had the honor to play with world renowned bands such as Emmure, Acacia Strain, Upon A Burning Body, Texas In July, Unearth, Machinehead, Soulfly, Mastodon, Meshuggah, God Forbid, Goatwhore, Twelve Tribes, Ill Nino, Crisis, Mushroomhead, Motograter, Devil Driver, Mucky Pup, Decapitation, Marc Rizzo, Agnostic Front, Bile, Motionless In White, It Dies Today, Dropkick Murphy’s and GWAR to name a few.
The Name
The form of retaliation whereby a punished group may often have no direct association with the other individuals or groups, or direct control over their actions. Those who Suffer For The Actions Of Another.Christopher had taken the name for common term used in the military. Christopher says “If one of us fail, we all fail. If one of us is to be punished, we all get punished”.
Lyrically and musically our songs are of current events, civilization, our societies around the world being divided, conquered and destroyed. The need to unite people and and find peace through understanding and compromise or the absolute destruction of us all.
New Music
“God Less America (Single)”
This single was recorded at The Bomb Shelter Recording Studio in Jackson NJ under Producer George Ponds and was released on July 6, 2023. Mixed and Mastered by Charlie Berezansky this song also features Mike Gurnari of MADBALL. The song was inspired by the nightmare of chaos and division that has stricken the US to the core. From the events of September 11, 2001 and the wars that followed to the lockdowns, protests and riots along economic collapse and poor leadership to the top of a corrupt government that has brought us to the brink of civil war.
“Worldwide Genocide (Single)”
Recorded at The Bomb Shelter Recording Studio with Producer George Pond. Mixed and Mastered by Charlie Berezansky this single is about the world descending into darkness and population control being enforced by entities both elected by the people and those unelected elite. The end of society as we know it. Released December 11, 2023.
“Breaking Point (Single)”
Recorded at The Bomb Shelter Recording Studio in Jackson, NJ under Producer George Pond. Mixed and Mastered by Producer Eric Rachel at The Dungeon undisclosed in NJ. This single addresses a scene of an unnamed citizen fighting against multiple policemen in a fierce hand to hand confrontation. Who will remain standing, the citizen or the police? Inspired by the mainstream media’s narrative of the rising number of police officers over use of force on the population. Released April 19, 2024
“Blood Dirt (Single)”
This single was recorded at Trax East in NJ under Producer Eric Rachel with post production work done my Producer George Pond. This single hit national radio in fall of 2025. Hit the commercial metal charts breaking Top 10 at #9 in November ‘25 holding Top 40 for 8 weeks and #19 in college radio. Released June 21, 2024
“Proving Grounds Devastation (LP)”
The album was released October 11th 2024 available on WormHoleDeath Records. Utilizing two recording studios both Bullet Proof Studios in Hazlet NJ and The Bomb Shelter Recording Studio in Jackson NJ. Following the direction of Producers Eric Rachel and George Pond in efforts to finish the long awaited debut album. The first studio album released by the newly signing international label WormHoleDeath Records. With mixing done by both Eric & George and Mastered by Eric Rachel. The album consists of 17 original tracks. Two of the tracks, “Desert Rogue” and “Infantryman’s Creed”, feature Mike Romeo of Symphony X orchestrating a four string quartet. The song “God Less America” is kissed with a soaring solo by NYC’s hardcore band MADBALL guitarist Mike Gunari. Multiple tracks feature George Pond (Swim The Current & Disciples of Verity) lending his talent and technique of the bass as well.
The 66.69 minute long album encapsulates Christopher Milos’s time in the US Army Infantry and combat operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom. The album ends with the last 4 tracks focusing on what a Soldier is faced with returning home from war and trying to fit back into a society that has disenfranchised him.
“Enemy Within”
This single was recorded at Trax East in NJ under Producer Eric Rachel with post production work done my Producer George Pond. Coming off the album Proving Grounds Devastation. Releasing this single almost a year after the album’s release, the song climbed the charts quickly. Making it just outside the Top 10 to #11 on the metal charts & #14 on college radio. Released August 15, 2025
Upcoming News & Events:
As of fall of ‘25 the band is in the studio mixing their first EP with Producer Eric Rachel. Renowned producer Ted Jensen will be at the helm for Mastering the EP with some special guest performances lending their talents as well. The band is excited to release this volume early spring 2026. Recently Arc and Axe were honored with their first endorsement by DR Strings. This came shortly after their manager informed the guys that they scored their first international tour.
Their manager Scott Eames was elated to let the band know that they will be going to Japan in April of 2026. They will be supporting their fellow metallers of Warbringer. Drummer Anthony Coota of the New Zealand black metal band Blindfolded and Led To The Woods will be stepping in with the band for the length of the tour as well as writing with the band for Mass Punishment’s next album.
The band plans on entering the studio in January of 2026 to begin tracking the next album. “We are looking forward to working with producer George Pond again. He did amazing work with us on the EP we just recorded as well as the album we released last year. To have with Anthony on our next album is going to be great. What an amazing opportunity to get to work with him too. The energy within our camp is incredible. So much is happening all at once. This is what we’ve wanted to do our whole lives and our dreams are coming fruition. It’s pretty amazing.” -Axe
